BDÜ Weiterbildungs- und Fachverlagsgesellschaft mbH was founded to further expand the services of BDÜ in the areas of seminars and expert conferences as well as publications and advertising.
It builds bridges for interpreters and translators, spans the gap between training and profession, between theory and practice, and between language professionals and potential clients and employers.
Professional development: Offers and services
Lifelong learning is crucial for translators and interpreters to always remain up-to-date – technologically, professionally, linguistically and also in terms of entrepreneurship.
In addition to the regularly held seminars, we organize conferences from time to time, such as the international “Interpreting the Future” conferences held in Berlin in 2009 and 2012, each with over 1,000 participants, or the “5. Deutsche Gerichtsdolmetschertag (5th German Interpreters Day)” with some 300 participants in Hannover in 2011.
These high-level conferences provide a platform for exchange both within Germany and internationally. They facilitate networking among language professionals and provide new impulses for professional success and shaping of the profession of the future.
